Kondiment is the data controller responsible for the personal data processed through Mondans.

This Privacy Policy applies to visitors, registered users, members and customers of Mondans, including people who read our articles, watch videos, purchase courses, subscribe to memberships or contact us.

2. Personal data we collect

Depending on how you use Mondans, we may collect the following information.

Information you provide

This may include:

• First and last name
• Email address
• Account credentials and authentication information
• Information provided through a social-login provider, such as your name, email address, profile image and social-provider identifier
• Communications and support requests sent to us
• Marketing and cookie preferences
• Information you provide when exercising a privacy right

Passwords and authentication credentials are managed through our technology provider and are not available to us in readable form.

We and our technology provider may process:

• Subscription start, renewal, cancellation and expiry dates
• Courses and content available to your account
• Viewing activity, course progress and interactions with content

Payment and transaction information

Payments are processed by Stripe.

We may receive limited information about a transaction, such as:

• Customer name and email address
• Billing country or address, where required
• Product or subscription purchased
• Amount, currency and tax information
• Payment status
• Transaction, invoice or subscription identifier
• Renewal, cancellation, dispute and refund information

Kondiment and Mondans do not receive or store your complete payment-card number, card security code or equivalent payment credentials. These are collected and processed by Stripe and its applicable affiliates in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy.

Information collected automatically

When you visit or use Mondans, we and our service providers may collect:

• IP address
• Browser, operating system and device information
• Device or cookie identifiers
• Approximate location derived from an IP address
• Pages and articles viewed
• Videos played and viewing duration
• Links, buttons and features used
• Referring website or campaign
• Date, time and duration of visits
• Login, error, diagnostic and security information
• Cookie-consent choices

We do not seek to collect precise location, health information, biometric information or other sensitive categories of personal data through the ordinary use of Mondans.

The legal bases are performance of our contract, compliance with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in protecting our business and legal rights.

Operating, securing and improving Mondans

We use technical, diagnostic and usage information to:

• Operate and deliver the website and videos
• Maintain service availability
• Detect misuse, fraud and security threats
• Diagnose technical problems
• Understand how the service is used
• Improve courses, articles, videos and website functionality

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating, securing and improving Mondans. Where cookies or similar technologies require consent, we rely on your consent.

Analytics, personalisation and advertising

With your consent where required, we may use browsing and viewing information to:

4. Technology providers and other recipients

We may share personal data with providers that help us operate Mondans.

GiraffaTech/GjirafaTech

GiraffaTech provides technology used for the Mondans website, including account authentication, subscription management, video hosting, video playback, content delivery and audience or video analytics.

Its services may include Porta, Tonos, Bisko, the VP video platform and related hosting or content-delivery systems.

GiraffaTech processes personal data on our behalf and under our instructions where it acts as our data processor. Information processed may include account identifiers, contact information, subscriptions, purchases, devices, viewing activity, course interactions and technical records.

Stripe

Stripe processes payment details, verifies transactions, manages recurring payments and assists with fraud prevention, disputes and refunds. Stripe may act as an independent controller for some of its regulatory and fraud-prevention activities.

Analytics, media and advertising providers

Subject to your cookie choices, Mondans may use services supplied by:

• Google, including Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and YouTube
• Microsoft Clarity
• Meta
• Spotify
• CookieScript
• Cloudflare
• GiraffaTech/GjirafaTech analytics and video-delivery services

Embedded media providers such as YouTube and Spotify may receive technical and usage information when their content is loaded or played. Their own privacy policies govern processing for their independent purposes.

Other disclosures

We may also disclose information to:

• Hosting, security, communications and technical-support providers
• Accountants, auditors, insurers, lawyers and other professional advisers
• Courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities and public bodies where legally required
• A buyer, investor or successor in connection with a proposed or completed restructuring, financing, merger or sale, subject to appropriate confidentiality protections

We do not sell personal data in exchange for money.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Mondans uses cookies, pixels, local storage and similar technologies.

These may include:

• Strictly necessary technologies, used for security, login, account management, payments and recording cookie choices
• Performance and analytics technologies, used to measure visits and interactions
• Functionality technologies, used to support embedded media and remember preferences
• Targeting technologies, used to measure advertising and understand audience interests

Where required by law, performance, functionality and targeting technologies are used only after you provide consent.

You can accept, reject or adjust non-essential technologies through the cookie banner and cookie-settings control on Mondans. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.

Some embedded content may not work if the relevant technologies are declined.

6. International transfers

Kondiment is established in Romania and is subject to the EU General Data Protection Regulation.

Because Mondans serves customers worldwide and uses international service providers, personal data may be processed outside Romania or the European Economic Area.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards, including:

• European Commission adequacy decisions
• Standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission
• Contractual, technical and organisational security measures

You may contact us for further information about safeguards applicable to a particular transfer.

7. How long we retain personal data

We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

In determining retention periods, we consider:

• How long an account or subscription remains active
• Whether information is needed to provide purchased content
• Applicable tax, accounting and consumer-protection requirements
• Limitation periods for disputes and legal claims
• Fraud-prevention and security requirements
• Contractual requirements imposed on service providers
• Backup and disaster-recovery cycles

Account and service information is generally retained while the account remains active and for a reasonable period afterwards to administer closure, resolve disputes, maintain security and meet legal obligations.

Payment and transaction records are retained for the period required by applicable tax, accounting and legal rules. Full payment-card details are retained by Stripe, not by Mondans.

Analytics and cookie information is retained according to the settings and retention periods of the relevant service. Information may remain in restricted backups until those backups are overwritten through the ordinary backup cycle.

We may retain minimal information where necessary to document a request, honour an objection or prevent further marketing.

8. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Ask whether we process your personal data
• Obtain a copy of your personal data
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Request deletion of your information
• Restrict certain processing
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests

9. Children’s privacy

Mondans accounts and purchases are not intended for children under 16 acting independently.

A person under 16 should use Mondans only with the involvement and permission of a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal data from a child without the consent or other authorisation required by applicable law.

If you believe that a child has provided personal data without appropriate permission, contact us at [email protected]. We will investigate and, where appropriate, delete or restrict the information.

10. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures include using specialist authentication, payment, hosting and video-delivery providers. However, no internet service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

You are responsible for protecting access to your email account and any authentication credentials used with Mondans.

11. External links and embedded services

Mondans contains links to and content from third-party websites, including social networks, YouTube and Spotify.

When you visit a third-party website or interact with embedded content, that provider may collect information under its own privacy policy. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of independent third parties.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers or legal obligations change.

The “Last updated” date identifies the latest revision. If a change materially affects how we use personal data, we will take reasonable steps to bring it to users’ attention before the new processing begins.
